I like this book because it uses the TTI Assessment “competencies” to describe what a leader needs.  This is perfect for those who have taken the assessment.

The Speed of Trust by Stephen M.R. Covey

Trust is the foundation upon which everything else is built for a leader/manager.  If there is trust, life is good.  If there isn’t trust, it needs to be built, and the book describes why and how.

Working with Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman

EQ is much better indicator than IQ for whether a leader/manager will be successful.
